Ryan and Amy have provided me and my three dogs. After losing one dog to cancer, and the ultimate death of the other only three weeks later,
I adopted a shelter dog. Q was a little over a year old when she came into my life. What her life had been previously, I do not know.
What I found out quickly was that she had a lot of issues with things that would be integral to her happiness while in my care.
My family lives in western New York and I travel home quite often. Unfortunately, Q had difficulties traveling.
She would become so upset that she would not get in the car. When I finally got her in, she would shake and vomit even on short trips.
At a loss as to what I was going to do, some friends of mine, Kay and Sylvia Carter, referred me to Ryan and the DogHaven Ranch assuring me
that he could help. Much to my delight, Ryan trained Q to get into the car on her own and ride comfortably in the car with no more shaking or
vomiting.
Two Australian Shephard puppies were added to the family. Q adapted well at first, but as the puppies grew, so did the quest for dominance. The fighting between
Q and Marnie became vicious, landing Marnie at the vet for stitches and me at the Orthopedic Surgeons with a dislocated finger. I was losing control of the dogs and
once again turned to Ryan for help. He took Q for two weeks of intensive training and also instructed me in the proper techniques of discipline and control. I
now know how to diffuse conflicts and maintain control without becoming injured in the process!
My profession involves long hours as well as travel to seminars and conferences. I used to feel guilty about leaving the dogs home alone.
Thanks to Ryan and the DogHaven Ranch, my dogs are no longer left home alone. I drop them off and am free to focus on my work knowing that my
dogs are receiving the same kind of care that I would give them at home. Ryan and Amy have a true gift for working with animals. I find their
dedication and devotion to their work unsurpassed. My dogs and I give the DogHaven Ranch a 5 paw rating, and would highly recommend it to anyone
in need of this kind of service.
